Simple and Festive Thanksgiving Breakfast: Turkey Cinnamon Rolls

When I was in college I would go to cousin’s house for Thanksgiving.  It was the best! We would hang out, watch TV, and go shopping. The day before Thanksgiving she watch a bunch of pre recorded cooking shows to make sure she’d be able to get everything just right.  Isn’t she the best?! Then she’d wake up early the next morning and start to cook! I would usually sleep in and wake up to the smell of blueberry muffins for breakfast. I would think, when I have kids I’m going to make them a special Thanksgiving breakfast.  It took me a few years of trying different things and I think I finally found my special Thanksgiving breakfast tradition!

Things you need:

  • Canned cinnamon rolls
  • Candy eyes
  • Orange food coloring or candy corn

These cute turkey cinnamon rolls are perfect for Thanksgiving breakfast.  They are quick and easy to make. You just need a few supplies. A bought Annie’s cinnamon rolls, which were amazing!  I followed the directions for them. While it baked I made the bacon. I used the precooked Kirkland bacon which made it even easier.  I was able to quickly get out of kitchen so the next person could use it! Once that was done I colored a little of the frosting that came with the cinnamon rolls orange for the nose, you could use candy corn but we don’t care for it and I didn’t want to buy it just for this.  Once the cinnamon rolls were cooled it’s time to assemble everything!

How to Assemble:

  • I drizzled the frosting on.
  • Brake the bacon in half.
  • Stuck them into the outer layer of the cinnamon roll.
  • Use a little frosting to stick the eyes on.
  • Use a chopstick to make a beak or stick your candy corn on

The thing that took the longest was baking the cinnamon rolls.  Even the assembling part was surprisingly quick and turned out cute!  This cute and easy Thanksgiving breakfast was such a fun tradition to start!

I love creating fun breakfasts for my kids! I get home late from work so dinners are hard to do. As long as I plan it well and pick things that are easy breakfasts are manageable plus it helps the boys get out of bed and excited! For Halloween we did Vampire Donuts! While for the first day of school we had Rainbow Donuts.
